What I love about my work

I started in this business of market research when my first child was about a year old. He was at the wondrous age of exploring everything, excited about learning every little new thing. He would push it, prod it, wiggle it, and ask 100 questions…. until he figured out what it was. Or at least made some good perception of it.

That is what I found this job to be a little bit about too. You want to learn more about something. You don’t just want the surface knowledge of it, like, “oh, that is an XYZ” but you want to know the ins and the outs. The little details. You want to become intimately knowledgeable. And it takes that childhood curiosity to get there. To want to poke, prod and to question.

It takes not assuming you already know, even if you do have baseline knowledge because at the end of the day, everything in life is constantly evolving, changing and just when you think you know it all…. something NEWER changes the dynamic. That is what I love about my work. Never stagnant. Never boring. Thank goodness for the need for humans to keep moving, keep developing!
